From Linette Ivanovitch Greene – Local Athlete Breaks WABDL World Record

“At the WABDL Montana meet on March 21st we had a first time competitor who broke the WABDL World Record for Junior Women 221+. She lives nearby and she’s visited our gym and trained with us a couple times. I predict that Rachelle Meidinger is a young woman to watch”!

FROM VALLEY JOURNAL: “Rachelle Meidinger, 20, stood in front of a crowd of people at a Missoula weight lifting competition and bench pressed 244.3 pounds. She shattered state, national and world records, but what makes it even more amazing is that a few years ago she couldn’t leave her house.

“I had agoraphobia,” she said, for her, a fear of leaving home. “After high school, I couldn’t do anything.”

She graduated from Arlee High School in 2012 where she broke school records with her twin sister Aspen. The twins were the first females to lift 200 pounds at the school, but after high school, she was frozen by fear.

“I had crippling anxiety,” she said.
