In regards to the change of dates for the California State Bench Press and Deadlift Championships:

The reason that dates for this meet has been changed 3 times is due to a miscommunication between Management of the Elks Lodge and their team. When dates were initially being chosen we had 2 tentative dates set. The tentative dates given were either May 21st or June 4th. We were told that we had a possibility of taking May 21st but a confirmation that we could get June 4th. Because the General Manager did not get back to me for 3 weeks I decided that we would just stick with the confirmed date, June 4th. When the General Manager reached out to me (another 3 weeks later) he had said that his team was not authorized to make the reservation for June 4th, so he would move our reservation to May 21st. With that confirmation I looked at the hotels in the near area to check on prices. I then found out that the Chico State College graduation is the same weekend and with that all room prices went up over $100. To ensure that all of our lifters could get a good room price the meet had to be moved to June 11th.
