Born November 21, 1936, Carrie is currently 87 years young.  She is a retired registered nurse and was a lawyer in the Air Force with the Adjutant General’s Office.

 

Carrie still holds nine (9) World records in the Deadlift and nine (9) in the Bench Press.  She holds ten (10) California state records in the Deadlift and Bench Press.

The most amazing aspect of Carrie’s life is she weighed 259 pounds at age 76 and was able to get down to 117 pounds by the time she was 84.  She set a World record Raw Deadlift of 225 pounds in the 123 pound – Master Women 80-84 division, weighing in at 117 pounds at that time.  She first competed in the 220 pound weight class, then competed in every weight class below that and set World records in both Bench Press and Deadlift at 220, 198, 181, 165, 148, 132 and 123 pound weight classes!  She was admitted into the WABDL Hall of fame in 2021.
