“It was a great honor to receive this but it actually belongs to many more people than just me. First to God who allowed a 7 year old boy given a death sentence by his doctors to lift in a demanding sport for 30 years.To my wife who has sacrificed so much to let me to pursue a dream, To Dave the best friend and training partner anyone could ask for, without him this never would have happened. To Gus who has provided friendship as well as being a mentor and providing great venues and a first class organization to compete in. To my mom and dad that never held me back even when the doctors gave them little hope for a full recovery. And all the lifters I have met, competed with and against, and coached. I am grateful to everyone of you and love you all”.
