The deadline for the Big Sky Bench & Deadlift Championship has been extended from March 5 to March 9, 2024. The WABDL brand has always had several meets in 1st class hotels. The Missoula meet started in 2005, at a Chevrolet Dealership showroom with only 25 lifters and 30 spectators. It was truly a lively crowd! From there we moved the meet to Ruby’s Inn about two blocks from Interstate 90. From 2006 on we steadily increased the number of lifters who lifted in the Missoula meet, reaching about 90 at its peak. Due to COVID we had to cancel the Big Sky meet in 2020. Since the reopening of the world, we have been working hard to get back the pre-COVID number of lifters. We are now in a first-class hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn-the best hotel in Montana. This hotel has an amazing lounge, casino, and other amenities. To ensure this meet continues at the high standards it is currently at, we need at least 50 lifters to enter this year.
