Sadly, Arthur Lewis Whinston passed away on Sept. 4, 2013, in Tigard, leaving his lovely bride of 64 years, Melicent, five children and four grandchildren. Melicent and her husband Arthur Whinston were inducted into the WABDL Hall of Fame in Nov 2011. Melicent was inducted into the Smith College Hall of Fame in 10/2017. Melicent Ames Kingsbury Whinston Date: 12/2018 Currently 91, and has Alzheimer’s. She has been living in an assisted care center since 2008 just outside Portland, Oregon.
